Steve is a qualified accountant with 23 years healthcare experience, of which 18 years is as a management consultant. Steve has worked in most NHS health economies on acute care, primary care, shared services, strategy, commissioning and benchmarking projects. He has delivered a large number of benchmarking projects for both the NHS Benchmarking Network and other clients. Steve leads the work programme of the NHS Benchmarking Network but has also undertaken a range of other recent projects including Foundation Trust project management, shared services implementation, Provider Services business strategy and service line reporting, and implementing best practice in primary care and long term conditions. Steve has also delivered projects for a range of international organisations including the World Bank, United Nations, International Labour Organisation, and U.S and European software companies.

Outside work Steve is a keen road cyclist and occasional triathlete.
