We support clients to become excellent commissioners, with a particular focus on the use of benchmarking to support strategic decision making and allocation of resources in ICB Systems.
Service Improvement
We support providers with service improvement techniques such as process mapping, combined with our understanding of NHS average investment, activity, staffing levels, and productivity.
Performance Delivery
We work with clients to develop and deliver performance improvement strategies, drawing on our benchmarking capability and knowledge of good practice.
Mental Health
Through our work with the NHS Benchmarking Network, we hold a unique and comprehensive data set on NHS mental health services, including adult community and inpatient services, CYPMH, and learning disabilities and autism services.
Community Services
We work with community providers to assist them in meeting the challenge of Community Services integration and performance improvement. The Network’s data collections provide an extensive library of resources to track and evidence the shift in investment.
Acute Sector
We work with almost all NHS acute care providers through our research support role. In the past, we have collaborated with the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme and other UK equivalent initiatives to maximise the use of the data we collect from acute providers.
National Audit
Spotlight: Delivered by the Network, we facilitate the National Audit of Care at the End of life (NACEL), commissioned from HQIP in 2017. This covers the care of people in their last admission leading to death in inpatient facilities.
Intermediate Care
We have substantial experience in helping to define and implement good practice in Intermediate Care. We have developed, project managed, and delivered the National Audit of Intermediate Care over multiple iterations.

We have extensive experience in providing highly professional and effective project management services to both commissioning and provider organisations.
